Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside company that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its response. Tuscola County Criminal History does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email sent to us may be retained long enough to answer and manage the exchange. We keep messages within our organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, the site’s systems may receive routine technical information about that visit:
- Page-view times and the length of visits
- Device category and operating system
- The referring website, when available
- Browser name and version
- Pages opened during a visit
- The device’s assigned IP address

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Tuscola County Criminal History does not compile, sell, or maintain a database of personal criminal records. Its material identifies official routes to the Tuscola County Sheriff’s Office, the 71B District and 54th Circuit courts, the Michigan State Police Criminal Justice Information Center, and the Michigan Public Sex Offender Registry. This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party criminal files.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes. Information submitted to one of those tools is governed by that company’s privacy policy. The provider, not this site, decides how long it retains information and when it shares it. Review those terms before entering a query.

Links may lead to Tuscola County offices, Michigan agencies, courts, legal resources, or independent search services. Once you leave this site, the destination’s privacy terms control. Read them before providing personal information.
Advertising companies may use their own technology to measure activity across websites and select ads. That processing takes place on their services rather than ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Information may still be available to a limited set of recipients:

Those laws do not turn this private site into a government record custodian. Subject to applicable law, you may:

- Ask what personal information is held about you
- Seek correction of inaccurate information
- Object to certain forms of processing where the law permits
